We provide an opportunity to experience sailing a classic yacht renowned for its pleasurable performance. We aim to give personalised service tailored to a wide range of customer needs, and to be competitively priced.
Our service appeals to novice sailors, interested in experiencing the pleasure of sailing, yet anxious to do so under conditions of maximum safety, and who may be wary of seasickness. Equally, our service attracts many seasoned sailors, keen to experience first-hand sailing the legendary Contessa 32. We can also offer on request sailing experience gift days and corporate sailing days.
Many of our guests wish to build up their sailing miles, in preparation for RYA (Royal Yachting Association) qualifications such as Day Skipper and Yachtmaster. Sailing tuition for these qualifications, and for the ICC (International Certificate of Competence), can also be provided.
Join us in Cowes on the Isle of Wight for the start of your experience. After issuing you with personal safety gear, and familiarising you with onboard safety equipment and procedures, we will waste no time in getting underway. Your skipper will ensure your experience is safe and enjoyable, in light of prevailing weather conditions, and your sailing goals and experience. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided onboard and opportunities will be taken for lunch stops ashore, as appropriate.
Uniquely, Contessa 32 Experience also offers special interest voyages, for example accompanied by a professional geologist able to bring to life the experience of sailing along memorable coastlines such as the World Heritage Jurassic Coast of Dorset.
